The Role

As a Senior QA Engineer within our Commerce line of business, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of e-commerce platforms and solutions we build for our clients. You'll leverage your expertise in testing methodologies and e-commerce platforms—especially Shopify—to lead testing efforts and deliver high-quality deliverables. Working closely with stakeholders and development teams, you'll ensure our commerce solutions exceed client expectations.

Please Note : This is a Contract position (hourly rate). The ideal candidate should be located in North America, with working hours aligned to Eastern Time (ET) or Pacific Time (PT).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies for e-commerce projects
  • Apply proven manual testing methods to identify and document defects
  • Test e-commerce platforms thoroughly, focusing on Shopify functionality and integrations
  • Create clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports for client review
  • Use Jira to manage bug tracking, test cases, and QA workflows
  • Communicate testing processes, results, and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop detailed test plans and systematic test cases based on business requirements
  • Maintain thorough test documentation for client deliverables
  • Work with clients to define acceptance criteria and provide regular status updates
  • Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Create user-friendly documentation that clearly outlines testing coverage, methodologies, and results for client understanding

Requirements

  • Experience in QA engineering with a proven track record of leading testing efforts
  • Strong experience with manual testing methodologies and practices
  • Experience testing e-commerce platforms, with Shopify experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional documentation skills, with demonstrated ability to create clear, comprehensive test cases and reports that can be shared with clients
  • Proficiency with Jira for bug tracking, test case management, and coordinating QA workflows
  • Ability to communicate testing processes, results, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience developing detailed test plans and systematic test cases from business requirements
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain thorough test documentation that serves as deliverables for clients
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with clients on testing acceptance criteria and providing regular testing status updates
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating user-friendly documentation that clearly outlines testing coverage, methodologies, and results
