Senior Project Manager/ Program Manager

Raise is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager/ Program Manager on behalf of our client, who plays a vital role in Alberta's Energy Industry by ensuring public safety and the environment - and contributing to responsible, efficient, and safe energy development. Job Overview
The Senior Project/Program Manager will lead a complex Workday ERP implementation from planning through to post-launch review. This role is responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budget, and resources while ensuring alignment across internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in ERP systems (particularly Workday), program management, and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive communication, change management, and risk mitigation strategies to deliver a successful, on-time, and business-aligned implementation
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of the Workday implementation project.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Program Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and documenting interdependencies.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively communicate and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful completion.
ERP Implementation
- Manage all aspects of the ERP implementation, including system configuration, data migration, integration with other systems, and user training.
- Ensure the ERP system meets the business requirements and is delivered on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Communication And Collaboration
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and management.
- Work closely with leads on communication and change management to ensure stakeholder engagement and smooth transitions.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
Budget And Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Coordinate and oversee project resources, including internal teams working on multiple projects, external vendors, and contractors.
- Collaborate with the project coordinator to ensure alignment and efficient resource utilization.
Change Management
- Drive effective change management processes, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and high-quality project deliverables.
Post-Implementation Review
- Conduct project post-mortems and capture lessons learned and project close-out reports for continuous improvement.
- Ensure a smooth handover of project deliverables to operational teams or end-users.
Role Deliverables
- Identify cross-project dependencies, establish project scope and timelines, and work with stakeholders.
- Comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Project charters outlining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Regular status reports and updates for stakeholders highlighting project progress, risks, and issues.
- Risk assessment and mitigation plans identifying potential risks to the project and outlining strategies to address them.
- Transition plans facilitating the smooth handover of project deliverables to operational teams or end-users.
- Lessons learned documentation capturing insights and recommendations for future project improvements.
- Post-implementation reviews and assessments to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including experience in planning, organizing, and executing complex and cross-team collaboration projects within defined timelines and budgets.
- Extensive experience with Workday implementation and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools such as Agile or Waterfall, capable of adapting the approach based on project requirements.
- Ability to manage and mitigate project risks, proactively identify issues, and develop contingency plans.
- Experience in program management and leading large-scale ERP implementation projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools to track progress, manage resources, and report project status effectively.
- Experience with Azure DevOps

Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

- Continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest trends, practices, and technologies in project management and ERP implementation domains
