Job summary

iA is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Security to lead complex cybersecurity initiatives across Canada. You will drive end-to-end delivery, manage scope, schedules, and budgets, and align cross-functional teams to deliver value.

The role requires eight years of experience in technology projects, with strong risk, governance, and bilingual communication in French and English. This hybrid position offers flexibility and collaboration across a nationwide team.

Qualifications

  • Eight+ years of experience managing complex technology projects, ideally cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • PMP or SAFe certification is an asset.
  • Advanced fluency in French and English for cross-Canada collaboration.
  • Strong planning, governance, and risk-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and deliver complex cybersecurity projects with scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks.
  • Establish governance structures and integrated delivery plans with milestones and costs.
  • Coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders, guiding decisions and escalations.
  • Identify variances, implement mitigations, and maintain focus on value delivery.
  • Present project health, costs, schedules, risks, and decisions to governance committees.
  • Ensure quality of decision-support materials and actionable recommendations.
  • Facilitate smooth transition of solutions to operational teams and ensure accountability.

You will lead projects from end to end, ensuring predictable, transparent, and value-driven execution. You will also develop an integrated view of cyber resilience initiatives with the opportunity to eventually assume operational leadership of the program, including planning and overseeing integrated execution, prioritizing initiatives, and driving performance and governance.

What You'll Accomplish With Us

As a Senior Project Manager, Security, you will be at the core of our mission. Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver complex, strategic cybersecurity projects while managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, and risks.
  • Establish governance structures aligned with project size and risk profile, and develop and maintain integrated delivery plans that include milestones, resources, costs, dependencies, and risks.
  • Coordinate multiple internal and external teams, align stakeholders around common objectives, and facilitate trade-off discussions, decision-making, and escalations at the appropriate level.
  • Anticipate variances, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve issues and roadblocks while maintaining focus on priorities, outcomes, and expected value.
  • Produce a consolidated, fact-based view of project health and regularly present progress, costs, schedules, risks, required decisions, and delivered value to governance committees and senior leadership.
  • Ensure the quality of decision-support materials and provide clear recommendations to enable effective decision‑making.
  • Secure expected outcomes and ensure a smooth transition of solutions and responsibilities to operational teams.
  • Develop a consolidated view of initiatives and their interdependencies, support other project managers, and contribute to the alignment of project management practices.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Gradually contribute to the consolidation of the program roadmap, priorities, decisions, interdependencies, and performance indicators in preparation for eventually assuming operational leadership of the program.

  • Can interpret risk and performance indicators and translate them into delivery priorities.
  • Has strong proficiency with planning, financial tracking, and reporting tools.
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Has experience in program leadership or portfolio management of strategic initiatives.
  • Holds a PMP, SAFe, or equivalent certification, considered an asset.
  • Has experience with Vulnerability Management, CTEM, CNAPP, DSPM, IAM, or other cybersecurity domains, considered an asset.
  • Has an advanced level of French and English, as the incumbent will collaborate daily with unilingual English-speaking partners, teams, and stakeholders located across Canada.
