Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager, FinOps & Cloud Foundations to lead cross-functional IT initiatives from inception to realized benefits, establishing governance, engaging stakeholders, and delivering value in a matrix environment.

You will focus on FinOps modernization and cloud foundations, partnering with business, finance and technology teams across Canada, using your leadership and bilingual skills to drive change and improve

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in project management or strategic program delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in business, CS, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Agile, Lean, hybrid, or traditional PM approaches.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and FinOps practices is an asset.
• Advanced French and English communication across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping of strategic initiatives with objectives, scope, outcomes, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Develop recommendations, roadmaps, decision materials, and delivery plans.
• Define benefits and metrics to track value delivered.
• Plan and manage the full project lifecycle, coordinating teams and partners.
• Establish governance, facilitate decision-making forums, prioritization and trade-offs.
• Engage business, technology, and finance stakeholders through leadership.
• Manage scope, costs, schedules, risks, quality, and dependencies to meet outcomes.
• Support change adoption and benefits realization aligned with GPMO standards.

As a Senior Project Manager, FinOps & Cloud Foundations, you will lead complex, cross-functional IT initiatives from inception through to the realization of expected benefits. As a Senior Project Manager, FinOps & Cloud Foundations, you will play a key role in our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading the scoping of strategic initiatives by defining objectives, scope, expected outcomes, dependencies, and success criteria.

• Engaging business, technology, and finance stakeholders through influential leadership.
• Managing scope, costs, schedules, risks, quality, and dependencies to achieve targeted outcomes.
• Supporting change adoption, continuous improvement, and benefits realization while ensuring alignment with GPMO standards.

• Is recognized for their sound judgment, analytical thinking, and political acumen in high-impact and fast-evolving environments.
• Has a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in project management or strategic program delivery.
• Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates expertise in Agile, Lean, hybrid, or traditional project management approaches and can adapt their methodology to the context.
• Has knowledge of cloud environments, FinOps practices, technology governance, or digital transformation, which would be considered an asset.
• Has an advanced level of proficiency in both French and English, as the incumbent will act as an advisor to various stakeholders located across Canada. In this role, they will be required to communicate and collaborate regularly in English, both verbally and in writing.
