Job summary

FLINT Corp. in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead pump-station programs, turning complex mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes into delivering facilities.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will manage a portfolio of new-build and expansion pump stations with 10+ years of experience, lead teams, develop plans, and ensure budgets and timelines are met across projects. This role supports FLINT’s legacy of delivering critical infrastructure for Canada.

Job Description

Behind every pump station that comes online is a Project Manager who knows how to navigate complex site conditions, coordinate mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes, and deliver results that meet exacting standards. At FLINT, we’re looking for someone who has built pump stations for a contractor and can transform technical specifications into completed facilities that move Canada’s energy resources.

As our Senior Project Manager in the Craft & Corporate division, you’ll apply your pump station expertise and leadership skills to manage a portfolio of pump station projects—new-build and expansion—turning plans into reality while developing the teams around you. Your work will directly contribute to FLINT’s 100-year legacy of building critical infrastructure that serves communities across Canada.

Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you will utilize your 10+ years of experience delivering pump station and related mechanical scopes to lead the successful execution of each project. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with portfolio goals, timelines, and budget while receiving strategic support from the Area Manager.

What would you be doing?

  • Interface with client representatives throughout development, execution, and commissioning to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Execute contracts according to the client’s requirements and specifications, ensuring the scope of work, terms, and conditions are understood and communicated to management.
  • Oversee a portfolio of new-build and expansion pump stations, ensuring execution plans are developed and implemented to meet project goals and objectives at each station.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes—pumps, piping, valves, controls, and station tie-ins—through construction, testing, and turnover.
  • Assist in developing the original budget, managing changes, determining progress, and generating accurate forecasts across the portfolio.
  • Provide direction to the Project Controls group, formally evaluating performance, offering feedback, and resolving any performance-related issues.

Qualifications
  • Education in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or Trades Background.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil and gas, heavy industry, mining, with direct experience delivering pump stations for a construction contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience building or expanding pipeline pump stations—including pumps, piping, valves, and station controls—from construction through commissioning.
  • Minimum 4 years’ supervisory/site management experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as well as technical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Proficient in utilizing systems for estimating, scheduling, and project management.
  • Experience analyzing project and operational financial data, with the ability to implement performance action plans to improve results.
