Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of large-scale powerline construction projects in Ontario. You will estimate new projects, develop execution strategies, coordinate resources, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

You will lead safety, quality control, and stakeholder communications, manage subcontractors, and drive schedule and cost targets while building strong project teams across sites in Barrie and beyond.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in powerline construction or similar utility/industrial projects.
• 3+ years of experience estimating powerline construction projects.
• Experience as a Project Manager or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and practices.
• Excellent negotiation and management skills with ability to plan under multiple priorities.
• Clear communication with multiple stakeholders and problem-solving.
• Track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project and ensure compliance with PSSP.
• Lead all aspects of subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations for complex projects and design-build projects.
• Own pursuit estimates, review and verify direct and indirect costs, and manage bid package responsibilities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for large, complex bids and oversee the takeoff process.
• Develop and maintain the construction schedule with the project team to meet milestones.
• Facilitate project meetings and the Project Quality Program to monitor progress and material supply.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities to optimize schedule and financial targets.
• Maintain, track, and report financial aspects of the project including forecasts and billings.
