Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to guide large-scale building construction projects in Ontario, including Toronto-area sites. The role requires 10+ years of PM experience on major projects, a civil engineering background, and full-cycle oversight from design through commissioning.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain client relationships while ensuring safety and quality across complex site operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager on large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.
• Post-secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Full cycle new-build project experience overseeing all phases and scopes (structural, civil, M&E, architectural).
• PMP or relevant certification is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Experience interpreting and applying contract language; proficient with Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.

Senior Project Manager – Building Construction

We are hiring a Senior Project Manager to assist in the delivery of large‑scale multidisciplinary projects that make a lasting impact on communities. Essential Responsibilities

• Review project contracts to understand requirements including timelines, budget, safety, quality, staffing, materials, and equipment needs.
• Liaise and coordinate with designers, technical teams, and clients on all technical aspects.
• Analyze project designs, technical reports, and background information.
• Develop and implement execution plans detailing construction staging, workplans, materials, subcontracting, and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with discipline managers to ensure proper construction sequencing and staging.
• Provide technical assistance and recommend effective construction methods and equipment.
• Manage quantity take‑offs, bills of quantities, and scope development for civil, earthworks, and wet utilities.
• Oversee project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule goals, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, including managing expectations, progress reports, and communication.
• Monitor and ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Oversee onsite activities, quality, productivity, progress, and safety of teams and subcontractors.
• Address potential roadblocks proactively and resolve any arising issues.
• Implement and monitor safety programs.
• Manage requests for information and issue field instructions as needed.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a major general contractor managing large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.
• Completion of post‑secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Full cycle new‑build project experience working on major projects is required, overseeing all phases and scopes from structural, civil, M&E and architectural.
• PMP or relevant certification is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying contract law and language.
• Experience with project management tools such as Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.
• Strong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities.

Work Conditions

• Full‑time, site‑based position located in either Pickering or Caledon, supporting a major commercial construction project.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean abstract.
