Ledcor is hiring a Senior Project Manager to deliver large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in Ontario. The role requires 10+ years of experience with major contractors, and a civil engineering background. Expect leadership across design, planning, and field execution on site in the Toronto area.

Qualified candidates will oversee budgets, schedules, safety programs, and client communications while coordinating with design teams and subcontractors to drive successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.
• Post-secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Experience with major projects across all phases from structural, civil, M&E and architectural.
• PM certification (PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
• Ability to plan and execute within budget and schedule constraints.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying contract language.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Senior Project Manager to assist in the delivery of large-scale, multidisciplinary projects that make a lasting impact on communities. Essential Responsibilities

• Review project contracts to understand requirements including timelines, budget, safety, quality, staffing, materials, and equipment needs.
• Liaise and coordinate with designers, technical teams, and clients on all technical aspects.
• Analyze project designs, technical reports, and background information.
• Develop and implement execution plans detailing construction staging, workplans, materials, subcontracting, and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with discipline managers to ensure proper construction sequencing and staging.
• Provide technical assistance and recommend effective construction methods and equipment.
• Manage quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and scope development for civil, earthworks, and wet utilities.
• Oversee project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule goals, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, including managing expectations, progress reports, and communication.
• Monitor and ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Oversee onsite activities, quality, productivity, progress, and safety of teams and subcontractors.
• Address potential roadblocks proactively and resolve any arising issues.
• Implement and monitor safety programs.
• Manage requests for information and issue field instructions as needed.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as Project Manager with a major general contractor managing large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.
• Completion of post‑secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Full cycle new build project experience working on Major Projects is required, overlooking all phases and scopes from structural, civil, M&E and architectural.
• PMP or relevant certification is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying contract law and language.
• Experience with project management tools such as Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.
• Strong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities.

Work Conditions

• Full‑time, site‑based position located in either Pickering or Caledon, supporting a major commercial construction project.
• Valid driver's license and a clean abstract.
