Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Project Manager to deliver large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in the Building Construction team in Toronto. You will lead safety, schedule, cost and quality efforts on a major commercial project, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet milestones.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of PM experience with a major general contractor, a civil engineering degree, and strong planning, budgeting, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as Project Manager with a major general contractor on large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.
• Post‑secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Full cycle new build project experience on Major Projects including structural, civil, M&E and architectural.

Essential Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.
• Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations, and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
• Creates and facilitates the Project Quality Program to ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed accordingly.
• Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintained.
• Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates.
• Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression.
• Provides strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths to ensure project targets are achieved.
• Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets.
• Maintains, tracks, and reports all financial aspects of the project including forecasts and billings.
• Manages the procurement process including subcontractor/trade/supplier negotiations and awards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as Project Manager with a major general contractor managing large, complex industrial, commercial or institutional projects.
• Completion of post‑secondary education in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Full cycle new build project experience working on Major Projects is required, overseeing all phases and scopes from structural, civil, M&E and architectural.
• PMP or relevant certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints.Proficiency in interpreting and applying contract law and language.
• Experience with project management tools such as Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.
• Strong technical, communication, organizational, managerial, and planning skills.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities.

Work Conditions

• Full‑time, site‑based position located in either Pickering or Caledon, supporting a major commercial construction project.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean abstract.

Compensation

$106,650.00 - $142,200.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
