Job description

The Project Manager will be involved in all stages of a project's life cycle (i.e., Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control, and Closure) for consulting services related to mining projects. Most components of this role will relate to engineering and/or environmental consulting scopes. The role will focus on areas such as mine engineering design, environmental permitting, field investigations, desktop analyses, feasibility studies, research, and more. The Project Manager will work closely with Project Coordinators and Technical Managers to ensure the correct delivery of projects within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage budgets, scope, schedules, resourcing, and client satisfaction, working closely with professionals across Canada supported by trained project coordinators.
  • Understand project scope and objectives, and coordinate team activities effectively.
  • Utilize project management tools, methods, and best practices to align with stakeholder expectations and business needs.
  • This role is client-facing; strong interpersonal, communication, ethics, and integrity skills are essential.
  • Be action-oriented, resourceful, and accountable for self and team.

What you can expect to do here :

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, Business, or related discipline.
  • Have at least 8 years of professional project management experience, including 3+ years in consulting; mining industry experience is a plus.
  • Be proficient in both English and French.
  • Experience with project financial tracking and scope change management.
  • Understand and adhere to PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI).
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, develop risk registers.
  • Be skilled in project planning, tracking, and analysis (e.g., MS Excel, MS Project, or P6 Primavera).
  • Be highly organized, adaptable, developing leadership qualities, and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams of consultants.
  • Proven ability to manage clients and subcontractors.
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification is a desirable asset.
