As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of complex projects from conception to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting predefined objectives for safety, quality, and efficiency. The Senior Project Manager facilitates exceptional communication between project teams and stakeholders to proactively mitigate risks and ensure project goals are met.
What you should expect :
- Provide innovative management approaches and coordinate with owners, executives, and stakeholders.
- Monitor market changes and recommend strategic plans accordingly.
- Ensure project alignment with the company's strategic goals; revise plans as necessary.
- Supervise and oversee diverse project teams, including financial and administrative oversight.
- Provide strategic leadership for successful project implementation.
- Monitor and report on project performance, financial transactions, and execution of project plans.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Attend critical project meetings and participate in problem-solving processes.
- Ensure project compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Review estimates, tender selections, and project budgets.
- Regularly update clients, stakeholders, and executives on project progress.
- Promote a positive team environment, supporting collaboration, morale, and professional growth among staff.
- Regularly assess workplace safety conditions, encourage teamwork and cooperation, and develop a strong organizational culture that prioritizes occupational health and safety.
What you should bring :
- 10 years of construction experience
- Commercial, industrial and residential construction experience
- Experience executing Heavy Industrial projects is a requirement.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, trades, or equivalent discipline
- Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Works
- Previous management experience with alternative project delivery is an asset (e.g., design-build, construction management at risk, P3, IPD, etc.)
- Able and willing to travel for work (required)
- Experience executing Lean Construction Principles, considered a benefit
- General knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and terminology
