We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager, Airfield Electrical Works to join our Project Delivery team in Toronto, Ontario.

Your Role Within the Team

• Team Leadership: Manage teams to deliver complex projects and programs effectively.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably in large programs/projects.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, providing reporting to enable effective decision-making.
• Collaborative Project Environments: Work in collaborative project environments with thorough knowledge of progressive contracting models, including Progressive Design Build and Target Price.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate meetings and workshops with groups of stakeholders, showcasing excellent engagement and communication skills.
• Project Management: Provide specialist project management expertise for the delivery of Airfield Electrical Works.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively alongside other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
• Contractor Management: Manage the performance of contractors and escalate necessary decisions in collaboration with the Program Lead.
• Stakeholder Interface: Interface with various internal and external stakeholder groups to align consultations and approvals.
• Permit Coordination: Work with contractors to coordinate required permits, approvals, and consents, as well as site logistics.
• Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of works in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk requirements.
• Change Control: Coordinate the effective application of change control procedures and escalate decisions as required.
• Program Coordination: Work collaboratively with the wider program team to coordinate reviews, inspections, and approvals, including design, health and safety, quality, environmental, security, etc.
• Procurement Activities: Work collaboratively with the wider team to coordinate procurement and contract management activities.

Requirements

• Experience: Typically, a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in project/program management.
• Specialized Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs, focusing on airfield restoration and/or electrical infrastructure works.
• Technical Capability: Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably in large programs/projects.
• Education: Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.
• Mentorship: Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of staff.
