The Trading & Execution Services team is executing its strategy for the capture, retention and reporting of transactional data across its application portfolio to enable data consumers across RBC to efficiently access information across the Capital Markets cross-asset front-office trading lifecycle.
In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with front-office application teams, data services teams and downstream consumers (e.g. Compliance, Surveillance and Supervision functions) to form and execute plans for the provisioning of strategic data streams.
Job Description
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Develop and execute end-to-end change management plans
- Proactively lead new initiatives, engaging multiple teams to form consensus on design, delivery approach and schedule
- Continuously identify risks, issues, dependencies and potential conflicts. Identify solutions to mitigate, escalate when necessary
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve existing processes
- Effectively communicate project status, risks and issues in steering committees, working groups and though written formal status reporting
- Actively manage relationships with all technology and functions stakeholders
- Manage project costs, forecasts and resourcing plans
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Extensive experience in planning and executing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and priorities, spanning multiple project teams
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills, understanding how to tailor to the needs of varying stakeholders
- Strong organizational, project management, financials management and time management capabilities.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of cross-asset front-office trading workflows across Capital Markets
- A deep understanding of data management and data governance practices within technology
Nice-to-have:
- Formal project management certifications
- Hands-on experience in the retention, analysis and reporting of large datasets (e.g. SQL, Python, etc)
- Prior experience with messaging systems (e.g. SOLACE)
- Direct experience of data governance and controls
