Job summary

OXARO is seeking an experienced Project Manager to spearhead cross-functional delivery on a 1-year, hybrid engagement in Ottawa. You will coordinate policy, operations, and technology workstreams, manage risks, and deliver regular status updates to senior management.

The role requires 10+ years of multi-domain project experience, Agile/Hybrid delivery proficiency, PMP certification, and Reliability Status clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience contributing to large, complex, multi-year projects.
• 4+ years of recent project management experience supporting complex business and technology initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience delivering strategic projects using Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks, issues, dependencies, and interdependencies.
• Demonstrated experience producing clear, concise, and professional documentation for both senior leadership and technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to achieve consensus, resolve issues, and advance project objectives.
• Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and managing integrated project plans, schedules, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps across multiple workstreams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud-based solutions and services, gained through experience supporting or participating in Azure technology implementation projects.
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise across all project activities by working with internal and external stakeholders, project team members, and groups, using proven project management best practices and methodologies.
• Coordinate the overall implementation of a new supervisory mandate, including developing, maintaining, and evolving integrated work plans, schedules, and delivery strategies.
• Drive the planning and execution of project workstreams across policy, operations, and technology.
• Coordinate business activities related to the technology workstream and work closely with the IT Program Lead during planning, solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operational support.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering defined scope and work plans within established quality standards and timelines.
• Shape delivery reporting, performance indicators, and escalation mechanisms to support timely and informed decision-making.
• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to proactively identify delivery risks and develop viable mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular project status updates on progress and value delivery to senior management and the sponsor or client.
• Ensure all project deliverables are completed, including all related documentation and processes.
• Support go-live readiness activities and implementation hand-offs for assigned workstreams, ensuring operational, supervisory, and technical readiness criteria are met.
• Perform related activities and deliverables, as required.

• 4+ years of recent project management experience supporting complex business and technology initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience delivering strategic projects using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks, issues, dependencies, and interdependencies.
• Demonstrated experience producing clear, concise, and professional documentation for both senior leadership and technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to achieve consensus, resolve issues, and advance project objectives.
• Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and managing integrated project plans, schedules, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps across multiple workstreams.
