Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced Project Lead to support a major capital project in mining and heavy industrial sectors, based in Vancouver, Canada. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, permitting, and commissioning activities to ensure milestones are achieved safely and effectively.

The role reports to the Project Manager and requires a strong delivery background, proven leadership, and the ability to manage interfaces with contractors and internal teams across scope,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive project delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead delivery of assigned work packages with accountability for scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, including contracting strategies, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction management, project controls, permitting, and commissioning.
• Manage interfaces and dependencies among internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee contracts and work packages including scope, progress, change, and performance.
• Manage scope change control and analyze cost, schedule, and delivery implications.
• Prepare recommendations and flag risks to the Project Manager.
• Develop and manage project risk registers and communicate risks.
