Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. Musselwhite Mine in northwestern Ontario is seeking a Production Geologist to join our team, reporting to the Senior Production Geologist. You will provide effective underground grade control, perform sampling and mapping, and liaise with Engineering and Mining to optimize operations and reporting on a 14 days on / 14 days off, 12-hour schedule.

Requirements include a 4-year B.Sc. in Geology (or equivalent 2–5 years of experience), designation progress, and familiarity with

• 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology, or equivalent 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Geo, or working towards designation.
• Knowledge of Deswik and Acquire software is an asset.
• Strong analytical and organization skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation).
• Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 55 lbs.
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.

Responsibilities

Education And Experience

• 4-year B.Sc. degree in Geology, or equivalent 2 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Geo, or working towards designation
• Knowledge of Deswik and Acquire software’s is an asset
• Strong analytical and organization skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation)
• Ability to frequently lift, carry and push 55 lbs
• Ability to frequently reach below and at-shoulder level
• Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner
• Experience working in a culturally diverse environment

Working Conditions

• The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.

Compensation

• The base salary range for this position is CAD$105,000 - $117,500 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
• This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual short term incentive program. The target annual bonus for this position is 10% of base salary, subject to individual and company performance.
• The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee contributions.
