Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. is seeking a Project Geologist to join the Exploration team at the Musselwhite Mine. This onsite role supports surface exploration programs, including target generation, logging, sampling, and real-time interpretation of results.

You will mentor junior geoscientists, manage data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define exploration strategies and improve resource growth while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geosciences or related field.
• 6–8 years of exploration-related industry experience.
• Registered with PGO or working towards accreditation.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Experience in project management and exploration campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute surface exploration programs with minimal supervision.
• Conduct outcrop mapping, sampling, and data management.
• Interpret geological information and develop exploration targets.
• Coordinate drill management and ensure QA/QC of data.
• Mentor less experienced geoscientists and coordinate with contractors.
• Prepare technical assessments with maps and figures.
