Job summary

Hydro One, Ontario's leading electricity transmission and distribution provider, seeks a seasoned project governance professional in Markham. You will coordinate financial and project activities across DTS, supporting month-end close, forecasting, and governance for multiple capital projects.

Key responsibilities include project control, cost tracking, vendor evaluation, and mentoring teams in best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience managing compressed-timeline projects affecting mission critical systems.
• Experience with labour and material cost estimating, scheduling, project tracking, change control, issue management and status reporting.
• Experience with procurement systems including SAP.
• Strong organization and coordination abilities.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full array of project management and control services for capital work projects.
• Develop departmental project management practices and systems; implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain project control tools and training materials.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure analysis for the department.
• Conduct project meetings and report status and accomplishments.
• Perform audits and analyze cost anomalies and variances.
• Provide guidance to customers and internal/external stakeholders.
