Job summary

Omicron Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join our Accounting team and strengthen the financial performance of our projects.

This hands-on role focuses on cost control, forecasting, timely billing, reporting, and early identification of financial risks and opportunities. You’ll partner with project managers as a key financial advisor, reviewing budgets, commitments, costs, cash flow, and profitability; leading regular project financial reviews and supporting month-end and

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant project accounting.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
Experience in architecture/engineering/construction or project-based environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide financial oversight for a portfolio of projects with focus on cost control, forecasting, profitability, cash flow, and financial accountability.
Maintain and review project budgets, commitments, costs, forecasts, cost-to-complete estimates, and projected margins to identify risks.
Challenge forecasts to ensure realism and alignment with project team assessments.
Lead regular project financial reviews with Project Managers and ensure issues are resolved with clear accountability.
Support month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including accruals, revenue recognition, KPIs, and dashboards.
