Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary capital projects in an Owner’s environment. You will coordinate internal teams and external providers, ensuring safety, schedule and budget alignment while delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage stakeholder relationships, and embed best practices in project management across processes and performance, including field inspections and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering with capital projects experience in oil and gas, power or heavy industry.
• P.Eng designation or eligibility is required.
• PMP or other project management designation is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years at an Owner/Operator company.
• Minimum 12 years in multidisciplinary leadership and coaching.

Responsabilités

• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party providers.
• Drive continuous improvement of third-party engineering performance.
• Support engineering resourcing strategies and resource allocation.
• Hold engineering teams accountable for schedule, cost, and quality; manage risks.
• Lead third-party engineering sourcing, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure deliverables meet specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate Engineering Effort Hour Estimates and schedules.
• Develop and maintain project engineering schedules.
