You will mentor junior staff, oversee budgets and schedules, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure on‑time, on‑budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Master's degree would be considered an asset.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) considered an asset.
• Professional Engineer registered with Engineers Nova Scotia is required.
• 8–10+ years of experience in project-centric industrial environments, heavy civil construction, marine infrastructure, facilities engineering, or building infrastructure projects.
• Strong drafting skills and knowledge of technical drawings and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of capital, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, execution, monitoring, close-out, and asset handover.
• Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to safety policies and promoting safe practices among stakeholders.
• Manage engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and procurement activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align project objectives and minimize operational impacts.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost estimates, financial reporting, and resource planning.
• Maintain project documentation and records, ensuring compliance with policies and document control requirements.
• Serve as a civil and structural SME, providing guidance on codes, standards, and engineering solutions.
• Lead concept development, feasibility studies, engineering assessments, and design reviews for facility and infrastructure projects.
• Develop repair, rehabilitation, replacement, and lifecycle management strategies for assets.
• Conduct condition assessments and structural integrity reviews.
