Job summary

Gibson Energy ULC in Calgary is seeking a Project Engineer to support a portfolio of growth and maintenance capital projects across Gibson Energy’s facilities. You will provide technical leadership across engineering, construction and operations to deliver safe, reliable and practical solutions aligned with business needs.

The role requires a PE license and 10+ years of energy infrastructure project experience, with strong skills in scope, cost, schedule and risk management.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with professional licensure (P.Eng.) in good standing.
• 10+ years of project experience in energy infrastructure development, design and construction.
• Strong skills in scope, cost, schedule, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Champion safe and reliable project execution and support OE/MS practices.
• Lead technical and project activities across capital projects, focusing on EH&S, cost, schedule, quality and delivery.
• Provide lifecycle leadership from initiation through closeout of projects.
• Coordinate decisions with engineering and construction contractors and develop practical solutions.
• Facilitate technical discussions and mitigate risks with stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks and ensure alignment with regulatory and company policies.
• Build strong relationships across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and external contractors.
