We are searching for a hard-working, roll up the sleeves and team-oriented person who can support designing, delivering, and commissioning projects to our customers and will be responsible for providing mechanical and instrumentation engineering and design of MBR plant equipment and related facilities. As the Sr. Project Engineer, you are the lead person on projects working directly with the customer and internal teams to ensure successful execution from Sales handover to Project closure.
Responsibilities
The Project Engineer responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Develop and maintain project plans, conceptual and detailed pre-engineered P&ID’s, BOMs, plot plans, GA’s, hydraulic profiles, installation instructions, O&M manuals, mass balances.
• Recommend and implement new and alternate technologies to enhance our ability to design and deliver robust controls systems faster and at a lower cost.
• Source and specify mechanical equipment, fabricated components, and instrumentation.
• Develop a clear and precise understanding of the project requirements and work plans including the defining of score of work.
• Interacting with internal and external teams of designer and engineers to ensure the products are coordinated and compliant with all applicable standards.
• Coordinate and deliver training to internal customers.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable internal standards, external codes and regulatory requirements.
• Site visits, commissioning, analyzing field data and providing technical support to customers.
• Creating design specifications, perform design trade-offs, and simulate solutions
• Generate submittal packages, product specifications, testing and validation, interpret and document results.
• Quality inspection of equipment and fabrications for compliance with all drawings and specifications.
• Lead product design teams on special projects in addition to providing design inputs.
• Coordinating external and subcontract design teams.
• Internal progress reporting on project status and risks.
• Perform all work with a priority on Safety.
Qualification
• B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or other technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
Experience and Skills
Understanding of water and wastewater treatment equipment and processes for pre/post-treatment (conventional equipment, ML/UF RO, EDR, EDI, IX, MBR)
Excellent qualitative, analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills
Effective facilitator and consensus builder
Ability to balance business decisions and technical recommendations
Works well with all teams including: sales, manufacturing, suppliers, customers and vendors
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Capable of understanding requirements identified in, and creating technical specifications
Fluent in English (reading and writing)
Eligible for PEO licensing
