Job summary

CSG Talent has partnered with a leading international engineering and project delivery organisation to recruit a Senior Project Director for a major mining EPCM project in Vancouver. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and assume overall responsibility for technical, commercial, financial and operational performance.

This senior leadership role requires extensive experience delivering large, complex mining projects through execution, with a focus on safe, on-time delivery in cold weather

Qualifications

• Extensive senior level project experience with a mining EPC/EPCM.
• Delivered on multiple projects at values over $1billion.
• Cold weather experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead large cross-functional internal and external project teams.
• Oversee performance of the team and ensure quality and timeliness of assignments.
• Establish a collaborative environment with a clear vision and accountability.
• Oversee the full performance of the project (planning, directing, supervising and controlling all technical, fiscal and administrative functions).
• Manage execution, coordination, and implement regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
• Interpret and understand key elements of the project schedule to identify adverse trends and take corrective action.
• Apply forward planning with schedule to resource the project appropriately.

CSG Talent is partnering with a leading international engineering and project delivery organisation to recruit an experienced Project Director for a major mining EPCM project in Vancouver.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished project professional who has successfully delivered large, complex mining projects through the execution phase. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and assume overall responsibility for the project's technical, commercial, financial and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Leading large cross-functional internal and external project teams and potentially subcontractors or other PMs.
• Overseeing, motivating, and monitoring the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
• Creating strong collaborative team environment by establishing common vision, setting clear expectations and accountability
• Demonstrating capability of overseeing large-scale projects with responsibility for the full performance of the project (planning, directing, supervising and controlling all technical, fiscal and administrative functions).
• Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
