Job summary

ECG Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the electrical scope on major resource sector projects in Canada. The role, based in Toronto, involves guiding the project from design through commissioning and handover to the client.

With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Vancouver, Manila, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania & Cape Town. ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.

We require a Project Manager to manage the electrical scope on a major resource sector projects in Canada from design to successful handover to client.

The role will be Toronto based, providing support to our Ops Manager while managing an established design and project team with occasional site visit as the project progresses into construction.

To be considered for the role of Project Manager you need solid experience on complex high value electrical projects, ideally with remote plant construction exposure.

You will be responsible for achieving project milestones and objectives by monitoring profitability, cash flow, and risk on the project. You will create and manage the projects design and procurement deliverables while monitoring project cost. You will also create and review quality management systems ensuring integration throughout the project with our other engineering partners.

You will also be responsible for managing technical proposals and reports as well as ensuring costing data is accurate and contract administration is consistent.

Previous experience of a similar Project Management role, preferably in a mineral processing environment, together with a sound knowledge of engineering principles in major construction environment is preferable.
