Job summary
State is seeking a Project Design Specialist in Vaughan, Ontario, to lead drafting and design for envelope façade systems. The role focuses on 2D/3D design, product development, and coordinating shop drawings for high-rise projects.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of drafting or R&D experience in window/railing systems, with a background in manufacturing and strong organizational skills. In-office role with occasional travel and overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 10+ years of Drafting or R&D Designing experience, preferably in Window/Railing/Commercial Systems.
- Manufacturing experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Research, design and develop new products and/or systems using 2D & 3D software.
- Prepare drawings packages for assembly and installation of mock-ups and for shop drawings.
- Organize and maintain all drawings/documents on Company server and physical folders.
- Prepare complete packages for window/railing systems for projects.
- Assist staff with queries related to Window/Railing systems.
