Job summary

Podtech Data Centers Inc., the employing entity and member of the IREN Group, seeks a Senior Project Cost Analyst to manage budgets for large-scale data center initiatives. This role reports to the Project Controls Specialist and requires strong SAP/ERP experience and advanced MS Office skills.

Based in Vancouver, BC, with remote options and occasional cross-border travel, you’ll partner with operations, construction, and finance to ensure accurate cost reporting and alignment with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting, finance, or audit related functions.
• Firsthand experience with SAP or other large-scale ERP considered an asset.
• Experience with data center, critical infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects preferred.
• Highly proficient in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track project budgets for large-scale data center construction and development, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide timely cost information to operations, construction, technology and finance teams to align with milestones.
• Maintain project cost records, monitor actuals vs. budget, and share updates with managers and finance.
• Collaborate with procurement to gather material costs and cashflow timing.
• Provide administrative support for contracts, change orders, and vendor invoices to ensure accurate cost coding.
• Act as the finance business partner for project stakeholders and translate progress into financial reporting.
• Support adherence to financial policies through documentation requests, audits, and reviews.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit related functions
• Firsthand experience with SAP or other large-scale ERP considered an asset
• Prior exposure to data center, critical infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects preferred
• Experience with fast paced work environment considered an asset
• Highly proficient in MS Office specifically; Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
• Ability to time manage and multitask with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership, service providers and project management teams

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Controls Specialist the Sr Project Cost Analyst is responsible for:

• Manage and track project budgets for large-scale data center construction, development, and technology projects including forecasting and variance analysis
• Assist operations, construction, technology and finance teams by providing timely cost information and helping ensure financial data aligns with project milestones
• Help maintain project cost records, including monitoring actuals vs. budget, preparing cost summaries, and sharing updates with project managers and the finance team
• Work with the procurement team to gather information on material costs and expected cashflow timing
• Provide administrative support for financial documentation, such as contracts, change orders, and vendor invoices, to ensure accurate cost coding
• Act as the finance business partner for project stakeholders, translating operational progress into clear financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies by supporting documentation requests, audits, and internal reviews related to project spend.
