Job summary

RioCan is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, tracking, and delivery of projects within defined scope, timelines, and budget parameters. This role works closely with Project Managers, project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and business partners to maintain project schedules, documentation, reporting, risks, issues, and action items.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting or coordinating projects, preferably within an Information Technology, business systems, or transformation environment.
• Strong working knowledge of project management practices, project life cycles, governance processes, documentation standards, and status reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear meeting notes, status updates, reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with project teams, vendors, business partners, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support PMs in defining scope, deliverables, milestones, resources, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop project artifacts based on PMI methodologies and best practices.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, capture minutes, RAID, and action items.
• Maintain clear communication with project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and leadership via status updates and dashboards.
• Assist with resource planning and escalate constraints as needed.
• Create detailed project plans, WBS, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and trackers.
• Ensure documentation is current and aligned with standards and compliance.
• Monitor progress against schedule, budget, scope, and quality; support corrective actions.
• Support project closure with lessons learned and final documentation.
