Job description

We are seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to lead technical teams in the implementation and execution of information technology projects in a large, complex environment. In this role, you will coordinate end-to-end delivery, maintain strong stakeholder communication, and ensure project deliverables meet expectations while aligning to operational standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee IT projects from initiation through closure, ensuring scope, deliverables, schedule, and governance are maintained.
• Define project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project deliverables such as:
  • Project charters, business cases, briefing notes
  • Status reports, dashboards, risk/issue logs
  • Project closure documentation
• Lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings (including executive-level stakeholders).
• Confirm and/or create business requirements, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
• Plan and run project status meetings and other working sessions as required.
• Provide regular online project status reporting and maintain documentation (e.g., SharePoint).
• Ensure change management processes are followed.
• Support IT infrastructure implementation activities.
• Investigate, analyze, and coordinate IT changes required for the company's reorganizations (e.g., department name changes, movement of programs/services/personnel).
• Identify risks/issues and recommend actions to support delivery and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on proof-of-concepts and limited production rollouts; provide quality control for production implementations.
• Use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity while maintaining human oversight, security, privacy, and ethical use.
• Track and report time and status as required; document technical recommendations and provide guidance to stakeholders and team members.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Coordinator leading technical teams across multiple IT implementations and project executions in an environment of similar size/complexity to the company.
• Experience defining project scope and goals with business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to create core project documentation (charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, closures, dashboards).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience coordinating IT infrastructure projects
• Experience supporting reorganization projects (department renaming and movement of people/services/programs across departments/ministries).
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including building relationships at the executive level.

• Remote in Canada.
