Job summary

WSP is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager in Canada to lead multidisciplinary ERI projects managed in EP/EPCM mode. Based in Calgary, you will coordinate budgeting, scheduling, invoicing and deliverables while interfacing with clients and internal teams.

You will advise on bids and help shape risk mitigation and project controls strategies. You will mentor junior staff, maintain control plans, and ensure schedules and WBS structures are updated with Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in project management on large projects.
• ASP Construction card and willingness to travel to Saint-Constant are required.
• Bilingual (English/French) communication with clients and colleagues is required.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards for project quality and delivery.
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary environments with prioritization skills.
• Experience with planning tools and WBS structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all project controls activities across EP/EPCM projects.
• Interface with clients and internal project controls team.
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, contracts, invoicing and deliverables quality.
• Address quality and performance issues with the department lead.
• Advise on bid responses and support business development.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure execution plans, forecasts, resources, and schedules are maintained.
• Present operational information to management to align with growth strategy.
• Lead WBS and project coding structures using Primavera P6 with planners.
• Participate in risk management and maintain risk register.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure traceability of changes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or another relevant discipline

ASP Construction card

Ability to travel to Saint-Constant twice per week

Bilingualism (English & French)

Strong knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements

Leadership and proven project management ability

Proven ability to manage expectations in multidisciplinary environments
