Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a senior Project Cost Control Consultant to lead project controls across large capital programs in British Columbia. You will drive cost/schedule management, earned value, and governance, coordinating with engineers, planners, and finance to ensure on-time delivery.

This role emphasizes strategic planning, change management, and cross-functional collaboration on high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience on large capital projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
• In-depth experience in computer-based scheduling systems (Primavera P6 and MS Project).
• Comprehensive knowledge of project controls, including WBS, RBS, CBS, CPM-based scheduling and Earned Value.
• Ability to manage priorities and risks to meet deadlines with minimal leadership input.

Responsibilities

• Provide project controls resources at junior to advisory levels to support delivery, governance, reporting, and improvements.
• Support cost, time, schedule, change management, and reporting for successful project delivery.
• Develop a plan for integrated project controls including scope, cost, schedule and progress.
• Facilitate change management and forecast schedule and cost impacts.
• Review project information and provide guidance on project health.
• Prepare and review project controls gate deliverables with managers and engineers.
• Establish resources and organization needed to execute control strategy across projects.
• Formulate the overall Project Breakdown Structure to meet control requirements.
• Determine training materials for project teams on schedule, cost, risk, and earned value management.
• Draft monthly reports gathering progress data and coordinating management reviews.
