Job summary

CapWest is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage project finances, budgets and reporting in Vancouver. You will oversee cost tracking, job costing and progress billings across Canada and the U.S., contributing to project certainty.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with intercompany accounting; CPA is a plus. Competitive pay and a robust benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in project, job cost or construction accounting, including senior experience.
• Hands-on job costing, progress billings and labour costing in US/Canada.
• Experience with multi-entity intercompany accounting, US tax and Canadian GST/PST.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and WIP reporting.
• Acumatica is a plus; CPA designation or working toward is an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros).

What You Will Do:

• Minimum of 5 years of project, job cost or construction accounting experience, including time in a senior role
• Hands‑on job costing, progress billings and standard labour costing in the U.S. and Canada
• Working knowledge of multi‑entity and intercompany accounting, U.S. sales and use tax, and Canadian GST/PST
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and WIP reporting
• Acumatica experience is an asset; CPA designation or working toward is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups and macros)
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
• A positive, self‑motivated team player with strong problem‑solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to cope with change in a fast‑paced environment

Salary Range:
