Job summary

Onni in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage project finances, budgeting, and WIP reporting across multiple entities. You’ll leverage Acumatica experience and strong Excel skills to support timely, accurate cost tracking in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in project or construction accounting, with hands-on costing, progress billings, and intercompany knowledge in U.S. and Canada. CPA pursuit is a plus, and collaboration is key.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project, job cost or construction accounting experience, including a senior role.
• Hands-on job costing, progress billings and standard labour costing in the U.S. and Canada.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups and macros).

Responsibilities

• Manage project finances, budgets and WIP reporting.
• Support multi-entity and intercompany accounting tasks.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting and cost tracking processes.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate labour costing and tax compliance.
• Utilize Acumatica and Excel to deliver timely financial insights.

What You Will Do

• Minimum of 5 years of project, job cost or construction accounting experience, including time in a senior role
• Hands-on job costing, progress billings and standard labour costing in the U.S. and Canada
• Working knowledge of multi-entity and intercompany accounting, U.S. sales and use tax, and Canadian GST/PST
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and WIP reporting
• Acumatica experience is an asset; CPA designation or working toward is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups and macros)
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
• A positive, self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to cope with change in a fast-paced environment
