Role Purpose

We seek a dynamic Senior Product Specialist to join our Americas Commodities Team in Calgary. This customer-facing role combines product expertise, customer outcomes, and commercial strategy. You will help customers maximize the value of our research and analytics through tailored training, demonstrations, and support, fostering product adoption, satisfaction, and growth via upselling, cross-selling, and retention. It’s an excellent opportunity to work with leading energy and commodities companies as a trusted advisor and solution champion.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive customer engagement by delivering tailored, workflow-based training to deepen product adoption and value.
  • Become a product evangelist by developing deep expertise and translating complex offerings into actionable benefits.
  • Support commercial growth by partnering with Customer Success and Account Managers to drive renewals, expansions, and new business through strategic engagement.
  • Handle customer inquiries confidently and professionally, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Create digital learning content such as videos, e-learning modules, and guided walkthroughs to support scalable, self-paced learning.
  • Collaborate with Research, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to share insights and co-create resources for a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to Product Owners to influence product development based on customer needs and industry trends.
  • Track and report engagement outcomes to demonstrate value and inform improvements.

About You

  • Ability to work with complex data sets and understand customer workflows and needs.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience with MS applications.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams to achieve commercial success.
  • Passion for business growth and personal development.
  • Curiosity about data, analytics, and their application in solving business issues.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within B2B sales, data analytics, or SaaS solutions.
  • Knowledge of Customer Success Platforms like Gainsight is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, planning, presentation, communication, and training skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of natural resources, energy, or oil and gas sectors.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus.
