Job Description

Our aim is to not only provide robust backup solutions but also ensure rapid recovery, creating strong value for our customers. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who is committed to a customer-centric approach, creating more value for our existing customers.

As a Senior Product Manager focused on Onboarding & Activation at Rewind, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring new customers experience value quickly and successfully adopt our platform. You'll pair a sharp product instinct with strong analytical thinking to optimize the customer journey from trial to activation, reduce time-to-value, and set the foundation for long-term customer success.

We're looking for a PM who's not only great at talking to customers and shipping impactful features but who also digs into conversion funnels, understands activation metrics, and can present a compelling case to senior leadership to drive alignment and investment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Owning the end-to-end onboarding experience from trial sign-up through initial success, ensuring seamless transitions and quick time-to-value
  • Building and owning a strategic roadmap focused on activation, adoption, and early customer success
  • Analyzing conversion funnels, drop-off points, and user behavior to identify friction and opportunities in the onboarding journey
  • Speaking directly with new customers weekly to understand their initial experiences, pain points, and what drives them to activate
  • Designing and optimizing guided onboarding flows, in-product education, and success milestones that accelerate customer value realization
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Product Design and Engineering to ship iterative improvements to the onboarding experience
  • Defining and tracking key activation metrics (e.g., trial-to-paid conversion, time to first backup, success rate, attach rate)
  • Partnering closely with Customer Success and Support teams to ensure smooth handoffs and aligned success criteria
  • Working with Sales and Marketing to ensure trial experiences align with customer expectations set during the sales process
  • Presenting onboarding strategies and performance metrics to executive leadership to secure buy-in and resources
  • Leading discovery and delivery with urgency — consistently reducing scope to ship fast and learn
  • Upholding product quality standards and ensuring measurable impact from every release

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with 7+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS environments with proven experience optimizing user onboarding, activation flows, and early lifecycle experiences. You have a deep understanding of what drives users from trial to commitment in SaaS products.

You Also Have

  • Strong analytical mindset — experience with conversion funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and activation metrics
  • Experience presenting product strategies and metrics to executive teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficient in conducting customer interviews, particularly with new users, and converting feedback into validated product decisions
  • Collaborative style, with demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in agile teams
  • Experience working closely with Customer Success and Support teams to align on customer outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to convey complex ideas clearly and inspire confidence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit — you take ownership, thrive in uncertainty, and move with urgency

Where You’ll Work

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office three days/week. This role will be based out of our Ottawa or Toronto office.
