GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers worldwide. The company utilizes satellites, aircraft sensors, and third-party data to help emitters understand, control, and reduce emissions.

As GHGSat builds the world's leading geospatial atmospheric data platform, we seek a Senior Product Manager for our GHG solution, focused on analytics and climate data. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring products meet customer needs and align with strategic goals, reporting to the product director and managing the product lifecycle from ideation to launch in collaboration with market analysis and product marketing teams.

This position is part of a newly formed team dedicated to developing the product discipline that will drive GHGSat into its next successful phase.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap aligned with company goals.
2. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather customer use cases, prioritize requirements, and translate business needs into product specifications.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure successful development and launch, facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams.
4. Agile Development: Utilize Agile methodologies, manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
5. Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs to evaluate success and user satisfaction, analyze feedback and metrics for future improvements.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders and executives; act as the primary contact for product inquiries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or business; a combination of both is an asset.
• 6+ years in product management, preferably in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with system engineering, functional analysis, Agile tools (e.g., Gitlab, JIRA).
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.

Nice to have:

• Experience in satellite and data industries/technologies.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools like Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
