Job summary

Confidential, based in Ottawa, seeks an experienced Product Line Manager for IP Networking Solutions to drive strategy, roadmap, and growth of a high-impact portfolio. You will define the product direction and collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to shape offerings that meet customer needs.

You will translate market and customer requirements into clear product initiatives, lead pilots, and guide go-to-market plans while working with global teams to maximize impact and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years in PM/Marketing/Systems Eng in networking/telecom.
• Experience with IP/MPLS, SR, TE, L2/L3 VPN services.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work with global teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of a portfolio of IP networking solutions and applications.
• Define and drive the long-term vision for the product portfolio, balancing customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in advanced IP networking technologies.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Product Development teams to define product requirements and deliver successful product releases.
• Engage directly with customers, partners, and sales teams to gather feedback, validate requirements, and influence product priorities.
• Develop business cases, pricing strategies, product positioning, and go-to-market plans.
• Support strategic customer engagements, including RFx responses, technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and executive discussions.
• Translate market and customer requirements into clear product requirements and use cases.
• Lead competitive analysis and market research activities to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
• Drive pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives, incorporating customer insights into future product enhancements.Create product collateral, including solution briefs, presentations, datasheets, and application notes.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Systems Engineering, Solution Architecture, or a related role within the networking or telecommunications industry.
• Strong expertise in carrier-grade IP networking technologies, including:
• IP/MPLS
• Segment Routing (SR)
• Traffic Engineering
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN Services
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
• Ability to assess technical and business trade-offs related to scalability, performance, functionality, and cost.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and business initiatives.

Preferred

• Experience working with service providers, telecommunications operators, or large-scale enterprise networking environments.
• Experience defining product strategy and successfully launching new products or features.
