Job summary

Arc’teryx in North Vancouver seeks a Senior Product Developer to lead the most technical products from concept through pre-production readiness, mentoring team members and upholding Brand integrity.

You will collaborate with Design, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Production and Quality to ensure designs meet function, fit and construction standards while aligning with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in product design/development with a focus on technical design development.
  • Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Design or technical degree; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Strong problem-solving and ability to work under timelines.
  • Experience communicating with domestic and offshore vendors.
  • Understanding of design intent, product aesthetics, construction, and fit.
  • Knowledge of the product lifecycle from ideation to consumer.
  • Familiarity with raw materials, construction, and sourcing.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite; Centric a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute development from concept through pre-production readiness.
  • Lead development process to achieve commercial viability with cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with Design, Pattern Making, Sample Sewing and vendors to ensure prototypes meet standards.
  • Ensure consistency across product types and share best practices.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and train new hires.
  • Maintain BOM and technical specs database for sourcing.
  • Support calendar deliverables from concept to prototyping and quality approvals.
