Job summary

Arc’teryx is seeking a Senior Designer – Men’s Hike to innovate and translate our design vision into functional, performance-driven apparel for hikers and climbers. Based in North Vancouver on-site, you will lead a design from concept through prototyping, mentor teammates, and collaborate with development teams, athletes, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Design (Apparel, Industrial or Textile Engineering) required.
• 8+ years hands-on experience designing functional apparel.
• 1+ year experience coaching or leading a team.
• Advanced knowledge of patterning, sewing, and garment construction.
• Proactive problem solving and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative and expressive apparel solutions aligned with Arc’teryx vision.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, athletes and vendors to drive R&D of materials and construction techniques.
• Build concept prototypes and present at design reviews and gates.
• Observe and collect insights from testing with athletes/end users to inform design iterations.
• Mentor and lead team members to elevate design through patterning and construction.
