Brookfield Residential (Alberta) LP in Calgary seeks a Senior Designer in Product Development to lead concept-to-sales for new models, using Revit and AutoCAD to translate design ideas into buildable plans.

You will own space planning and structural design decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovative standards while ensuring compliance with Alberta codes and bylaws.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Architectural Technologies, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of meaningful experience in product development within residential homebuilding; Calgary market preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and government requirements.
• Portfolio of relevant product development work required.

Responsibilities

• Drive concept development and manage new models from concepting to sales release.
• Create drawings using AutoCAD or Revit, following internal Design Guidelines and Calgary bylaws.
• Develop space planning to optimize livability, buildability and market appeal.
• Coordinate with Architectural Controls to meet requirements and with trades for constructible solutions.
• Review onsite issues with teams and drive necessary changes.
