Job summary

Tremendous is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the design for a product area. You’ll join a small squad led by the Director of Product Design with a PM and engineers, delivering self-evident experiences and a powerful dashboard for recipients and customers.

You’ll craft interfaces, own product copy, influence strategy, contribute to the design system, and document work in Notion and Figma. This fully remote role spans the Americas and offers competitive equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating functional, simple, and delightful user interfaces.
• Proven experience building and improving design systems.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
• Experience using AI tools in your design workflow, including prototyping (v0, Claude, Cursor, or similar).
• The ability to handle ambiguity and conduct research independently.

About the role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to own design for one of our product areas. You'll join a small team of product designers led by our Director of Product Design, and you'll be embedded in a squad with a product manager and several engineers.

Half of our product is used by recipients who never chose us, so the experience has to be self-evident. The other half is a powerful dashboard and API used by everyone from mom-and-pop shops to Google. With one designer per squad, you'll have direct ownership of the experiences you ship.

• Use AI throughout your workflow. Research, prototyping, and iteration. We expect designers to prototype with AI tools and bring working artifacts to the team.
• Help raise the bar. Push forward and maintain a high design bar and level of execution.
• Design for a diverse set of recipients, with accessibility and internationalization in mind.
• Collaborative design. Work closely with PMs, Engineers, and others.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years of product design experience.
• Experience at a startup or fast-moving product company.
• A portfolio demonstrating functional, simple, and delightful user interfaces.
• Proven experience building and improving design systems.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
• Experience using AI tools in your design workflow, including prototyping (v0, Claude, Cursor, or similar).
• The ability to handle ambiguity. You're comfortable conducting research and gathering information to make informed decisions on your own.
