Job summary

Clio seeks a Senior Manager, Product Design to lead the Fintech design portfolio including payments, billing, invoicing, and timekeeping. You will guide strategy, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and coach a team of 4-5 designers to deliver end-to-end experiences.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled workflows and human-centered design within a legal tech context. The position supports a North America remit with Toronto as a preferred hub, and includes in-office expectations for local hubs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Product Design experience, including 3+ years mentoring designers.
• Experience designing fintech products (payments, billing, invoicing).
• Experience designing for complex B2B products (small to mid-market).
• Strong UX craft and execution; ability to lead vision work.
• Knowledge of AI product design including human-in-the-loop experiences.
• Systems thinking and platform mindset for scalable experiences.
• Proficiency with modern design/prototyping/AI tools (Claude, Figma, Cursor); WCAG accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the design vision for payments, billing, invoicing, and timekeeping.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure native-feeling experiences across the platform.
• Guide the team in automating timekeeping and AI-enabled financial workflows.
• Lead and coach designers from opportunity framing to launch and iteration.
• Collaborate with leaders across product teams to set portfolio strategy and priorities.
• Develop deep understanding of how solo to mid-market firms manage finances.
