Job summary

Shellex Groupe Conseil is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Industrial Process Department. Based from one of our Canadian offices (Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Beloeil, Terrebonne, Sherbrooke, Québec City or Toronto), you design and optimize industrial processes and contribute to decarbonization and energy-efficiency projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial processes.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Experience in consulting engineering.
• Experience in energy, steam, thermal power generation, or decarbonization is a plus.
• French fluency and English proficiency for client interactions.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of regulated environments and industrial safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize industrial processes
• Perform material and energy balances and develop PFDs and P&IDs
• Participate in process hazard and risk assessments (HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA/PHA)
• Select and specify critical process equipment
• Collaborate with instrumentation, electrical, structural, mechanical, and construction teams
• Engage with clients and partners
• Contribute to decarbonization and energy efficiency projects
• Develop technical leadership and autonomy
