Job summary

Kassen Recruitment is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager (Private Equity) to lead end-to-end operations for a portfolio of private equity funds. You will supervise a high-performing team, ensure accurate NAVs, financial statements, and partner allocations, and drive process improvements while delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA or CFA preferred, 3–5 years of fund accounting experience with PE or alts, and 4+ years of team leadership,

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field.
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent designation preferred.
• 3–5 years hands-on fund accounting experience with private equity or alts.
• 4+ years managing fund accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of US/Canadian GAAP and fund-level reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-performing team to meet departmental goals.
• Oversee day-to-day fund accounting operations for accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead NAV calculations, financial statements, trial balances, and allocations.
• Review complex fund expenses including management and admin fees, carried interest.
• Ensure quality of investor statements and compliance with governing documents.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations, Tax, and Financial Reporting.
• Serve as primary liaison to clients and oversee external audits.
• Mentor and develop team members; drive process improvements.
