Job summary

Summit Commercial Solutions Inc. seeks a Personal Lines Specialist to advise clients on home and auto coverage across Canada. You will assess risk, negotiate with insurers, and manage the full policy lifecycle from quote to renewal.

You’ll grow your personal lines book, prospect for new business, and collaborate with partners to optimize programs, while staying current on market trends and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Level 2 insurance license required (CAIB 1, 2, 3).
• RIBO license is an asset; to be obtained within 3 months of start date.
• 2+ years experience in personal lines insurance is an asset.
• Experience with high-net-worth clients is an asset.
• Hubspot, Acturis or similar system experience preferred.
• Personal auto experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on Property Insurance (homes, high-value, rentals, vacation properties across BC, AB, SK, MB, ON) and Automobile Insurance (AB and ON).
• Assess client risks and negotiate with insurers to secure best coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Quote & Bind new business across multiple provinces; process renewals and policy changes; review coverage for improvements.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance client experience.
• Ensure records are accurate, processes comply with regulatory requirements, and timely follow-ups are made.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, insurer products, rate filings, and industry updates across provinces.
• Actively manage and grow personal lines book of business.
• Prospect and develop new business via referrals and existing client networks.
• Collaborate with external partners to optimize personal insurance programs; elevate team capabilities.
