Job summary

Fueling Brains Academies in Calgary is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our Senior Preschool team at West 85th. You’ll collaborate with teachers to create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children confidently learn, explore and grow together.

You will support planned activities, guide routines, supervise meals and transitions, and observe children’s development. Alberta ECE certification, a warm, patient approach and strong teamwork are essential to help families and staff

Qualifications

• Alberta ECE certification required.
• Experience with preschool children preferred.
• Ability to follow established learning plans and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planned learning experiences and daily routines.
• Engage children in purposeful play, group activities and transitions.
• Help children develop independence, confidence and social skills.
• Provide active supervision during meals and routines.
• Observe and share observations of children's development with the team.
• Prepare materials and maintain a safe, organized classroom.
• Collaborate with educators and families to support learning.
• Participate in indoor/outdoor activities with children.
