Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a dynamic Pre-Construction Manager to lead planning, development, and execution of electrical transmission, substation, and utility projects. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage contracts, and coordinate with internal departments and regulators.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of leadership in transmission projects, Red Seal or equivalent, and strong negotiating and budgeting skills. This role requires travel to various site locations.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or equivalent trade certification required.
• Experience in transmission/substation projects preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership in utilities advised.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning for electrical transmission projects.
• Develop estimates with operations and estimating teams.
• Manage budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure project controls: schedule, cost, change management.
• Travel to site locations as required.
