Job summary

West Coast General Hospital, Port Alberni, BC, is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform skilled electrical work for a multi-site operation, including installation, construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.

The role requires a Grade 10 plus two years' related experience, a BC Journeyman certificate, and a valid BC driver’s license. On-call duties within a 30-minute response time are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus two years' recent related experience.
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of BC.
• Valid class 5 British Columbia driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, construct, alter, repair and maintain electrical equipment and systems.
• Operate and maintain building systems across a multi-site operation.
• On-call within a 30 minute response time.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager or designate, performs skilled electrical work at the journeyman level in installing, constructing, altering, repairing, maintaining and servicing electrical equipment and systems for a multi-site operation. Operates and maintains building systems and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

Grade 10 plus two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of BC. Valid class 5 British Columbia drivers licence.
