Job summary

Delta-Q Technologies Corp. is seeking a hands-on Senior Power Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in switched-mode power conversion and battery charging applications.

You will lead architecture, design, and validation of high-efficiency power converters for automotive and industrial customers. The role requires a track record of delivering products through full lifecycles, strong leadership, and collaboration across product, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

  • Education in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years hands-on industry experience in power electronics with technical leadership.
  • Strong experience with PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, and isolated/non-isolated DC-DC converter design.
  • Experience with digital and analog control, embedded control, compensation techniques, and loop stability analysis.
  • Knowledge of power semiconductors, gate drives, magnetics, current sensing, protection circuits, thermal design, PCB layout, and electro-mechanical integration.
  • Proficiency with LTspice, PLECS, PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.
  • Experience with safety, EMI/EMC, and regulatory requirements for power electronic products.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Consistently exhibit and model Delta Q values (Collaboration, Perseverance, Innovation, Driving Results).

Responsibilities

  • Lead power electronics projects from concept to production.
  • Define requirements with Product Management and cross-functional teams.
  • Own power converter architecture, modeling, design reviews.
  • Design AC-DC PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback and DC-DC converter systems.
  • Develop digital control algorithms; perform loop analysis.
  • Design magnetics, sensing, gate drives, protection.
  • Debug and characterize systems in lab, manufacturing, field.
  • Lead root-cause analysis; resolve issues.
  • Support safety, regulatory, EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Mentor engineers and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Other duties as required.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for aSenior Power Electronics Engineerwith deepexpertisein switched-mode power conversion, feedback control systems, and battery charging applications.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a proventrack recorddelivering high-performance power electronic products from concept through production. The successful candidate will design innovative, high-efficiency power conversion solutions in a collaborative, product-focused environment while providing technical leadership across New Product Introduction, Sustaining Engineering, Advanced Engineering, and R&D.

The role requires strong experience with power converter design, including Power Factor Correction, LLC resonant converters, Phase-Shifted Full Bridge converters, flyback converters, isolated and non-isolated DC-DC conversion, and digitally controlled power systems.

Specific Duties
  • Lead power electronics projects from concept and architecture through design, validation, certification, manufacturing ramp-up, and production.
  • Define requirements and technical solutions with Product Management and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Own power converter architecture, topologyselection, modeling, simulation, design reviews, prototype bring-up, and validation.
  • Design AC-DC PFC, LLC, PSFB, flyback, auxiliary, and isolated/non-isolated DC-DC converter systems.
  • Develop and optimize digital control algorithms; perform control loop analysis, compensation design, and stability verification.
  • Design andvalidate magnetics, current sensing, gate drives, protection circuits, and power semiconductor solutions including Silicon,SiC, andGaN.
  • Debug and characterize systems at component, board, and product levels in lab, manufacturing, and customer environments.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolve technical issues during development, production, and field operation.
  • Support safety, regulatory, environmental, and EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and mentor engineers through reviews, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with evolving requirements andbalancingperformance, cost, manufacturability, reliability, schedule, and business needs.

Base Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year plus bonus.

The compensation offered will be determined by experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
