Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Senior Systems/Performance Analyst to design and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reports that empower leadership and business users to self-serve data. The role requires SDLC mastery, requirements gathering, data integration, testing, deployment, and production support.

You will work across enterprise systems, applying SQL, Azure Data Lake, and data governance practices to translate complex reporting needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering BI dashboards and reports.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong data modelling and dimensional modelling knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and trend analyses for leadership and users.
• Gather, translate, and document business requirements into reporting specifications.
• Collaborate with PMO, Finance, IT, data teams and stakeholders to integrate reporting requirements.
• Implement and manage security, access controls, and RLS in Power BI environments.
• Troubleshoot data refresh, DAX, and data model issues in production.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for reporting solutions.
